Meet the Team
Yuliya Barsukova
Yuliya brings nine years of institutional trading experience across energy and metals. She spent two years at Hartree Partners as a cross-commodities trader, focusing on oil, oil products and natural gas. Previously, she spent seven years at Citigroup, trading precious metals options and exotics before managing a portfolio of iron ore futures and options. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and is a CFA charterholder.
Ahmed Selim
Dr Ahmed Selim brings over a decade of experience in applied AI and machine learning. As head of machine learning at TidalSense, he led AI development for a medical device being rolled out across the NHS. He later built agentic AI systems as principal machine learning engineer at IFPI. Ahmed also teaches AI - he has helped roll out an AI capability programme for FT Strategies. Ahmed holds a PhD in applied machine learning.
